WHAT IT IS: A global dance phenomenon with three successive crossover hits in a row, Jax Jones looks set to be Calvin Harris’ successor. With his weekly House Work show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio, as well as tracks that trigger all the right feels and algorithms on Spotify and other streaming services, Jones is covering the bases. His breakthrough single, “You Don’t Know Me,” has amassed more than 325m streams on Spotify alone and was nominated for a 2018 BRIT award (Best British Single). “Instruction” with Demi Lovato introduced him to the U.S., and now, “Breathe” looks set to become a worldwide hit, as it reaches #8 on Shazam’s global chart before hitting Top 40 radio in the U.S.
